Deja vu? Well, maybe! We have talked about Ticket to Ride recently in our Games You Should Try While Quarantined but we have a good reason to pick it for this month’s pick!
Aside from our brief points previously discussed we have even more, but let’s start from the beginning. This classic game supports from 2 to five players and can last from half an hour, to an hour great to just pick up and play for a fun evening. The best part is that Ticket to Ride is an incredibly easy game to learn and even as young as 8 can get in on the fun!
The way to win ticket to ride is to accumulate more points than your opponent(s) by being the best train baron you can be, creating train tracks to various different cities across the map. At the start of the game you are also given a special route that you can create for bonus points, but you better be quick and sneaky to make sure people don’t take your tracks!
Ticket to Ride has many different variations, there’s the original board based on American lines but there’s also:
- United Kingdom
- Europe
- Nordic Countries
- Germany
- Asia
- India
- The Heart of Africa
- Nederland
- France
- Japan
- New York
- London
- First Journey
- And lastly… Rails and Sails (Yes, even boats!)
So if you’re looking for a more relatable, closer to home board style you can pick up the United Kingdom game! However there are plenty of others to choose from, each board, card and little model train carts for the board are beautifully styled so go wild pick something you’d enjoy!
